The energy sector is responsible for three quarter of the global GHG emissions. This impressive carbon footprint is driven by the burning of coal and other fossil fuels to generate electricity. The only way to shut down dirty power plants for good is to boost renewables implementation. An India-based study showed that ramping up renewable power could curb energy-related carbon emissions by 74% by 2050. To add to that, there are countries like South Sudan, where only 7% of the population can access electricity.
For this reason, CarbonTrace will support new solar panels and wind farms installations across the globe. By participating in this initiative, you’ll directly contribute to:
Increase energy accessibility worldwide;
Decrease energy-related carbon emissions;
Create new sustainable job opportunities for local communities.
Powered by your contributions, we’re aiming to reach an overall renewables capacity of 100 MW over the next 5 years.
